05 Jul 2016 4 Types of Insulated Water Bottles and Tumblers

Not all water bottles, tumblers and mugs are made the same! The one thing you may need to know when purchasing your next water bottle, tumbler or mug is the type of insulation used! At HotRef, we offer 4 different types of insulation used in our drinkware: air, foam, vacuum, and copper vacuum insulation! The type of insulation makes all the difference on how long each tumbler can keep your beverage hot or cold.

At HotRef, we offer a wide variety of insulated water bottles and tumbler with different insulation that are perfect to keep your beverages either hot or cold throughout the day. Each drinkware can be customized to include a company name, logo, or a small message. Which, in turn, can make perfect corporate gifts or can be giveaways at trade shows and corporate events.

Air Insulation

Our air insulated tumblers  have a double-wall to harness the natural insulating properties of air! The double-wall insulation is created by inserting an inner liner that fits inside the outer shell, creating a layer of air in-between them. A perfect example is our popular Vortex Tumbler (pictured below)! The air pocket helps keep beverages hotter or colder and reduces condensation. Our vortex tumbler is BPA free and is the perfect tumbler to use at work, at home, or while you’re on the go! Our air insulated tumblers and mugs are perfect giveaways to market your business at trade shows.

Foam Insulation

If you want to keep your beverage hot or warm for a longer period of time, then our foam insulated tumblers are a perfect alternative to air insulated tumblers. Like our Stainless Steel Tumbler, foam insulated tumblers are lined with foam between the inner and outer wall. Not only does foam help insulate, but also helps stop air infiltration.

Vacuum Insulation

Looking for a tumbler that can keep your coffee warm until lunch time? The our vacuum insulated water bottles, tumblers and mugs will do just that! For example, our Geometric Vacuum Tumbler 15oz (pictured below) can keep your coffee hot for up to 5 hours and up to 10 hours for cold beverages. Plus, it’s geometric design is stylish and appealing to the eye. Vacuum insulated tumblers and mugs consist of two flasks joined together. The gap between the two flasks is partially evacuated of air, creating a near-vacuum which significantly reduces heat transfer.

Copper Vacuum Insulation

If you want the most bang for you buck, our copper vacuum insulated water bottle and tumbler will keep your drink warm and cold for a long period of time compared to the rest! Cooper vacuum insulation is just like the vacuum insulated tumbler; they have 2 flasks that have no air in-between them, but the only difference is that the inner wall in copper plated.  The copper plated wall makes all the difference, as it keeps drinks hot for up to 8 hours and 16 hours for cold drinks.
